From 08 to 10 March, representatives of the Emergency Management Agency, Kosovo Hydrometeorological Institute HMIK, Regional Authority of River Basins RARB and Municipal Level - Vushtrria, are part of the regional workshop under the IPA FF program in components 1.1 -Flood risk prevention and management planning and 1.3.- Integration of the early warning system with pilot Municipality of Vushtrria.
It is the first time within this program to enable participation in this format with physical presence, as such it enables the representatives of central and local institutions from all over the Western Balkans and Turkey to exchange experiences, achievements and identify gaps that need to be improved in terms of topics addressed. This workshop carried out with physical presence was preceded by several workshops and preparations applied at a distance from the beginning of the project to the end of 2020.
The workshop is supported by the IPA FF program consortium under the direction of the Italian Directorate of Civil Protection, experts of the CIMA Foundation Italy, and participating countries from the European Union part of the IPA FF consortium.
The results from this and future workshops on this topic will help beneficiary countries fill the gaps identified, increase regulatory and planning capacities for flood threat management and prevention.
